Single-vision lenses from stock, ready quickly

Single-vision lenses correct one distance: either far or near. We keep organic lenses with a 1.5 and a 1.6 index in stock, all with a water-repellent anti-reflective coating. Because we fit them in our own workshop, we don't depend on a lab's turnaround times.

For other prescriptions and coatings we work with lenses from Indo, Essilor, Kodak and BBGR.

We go into more detail in 1.5 or 1.6 lenses: which to choose for your prescription.

Water-repellent anti-reflective coating on every lens

  • Fewer reflections from lights, car headlights and screens, and less eye strain.
  • Your eyes are more visible through the lens.
  • Water runs off without leaving marks, which helps in the rain or with condensation.
  • A very smooth surface: grease and dust stick less and the lenses are quicker to clean.

High myopia: thinner, lighter lenses

From around −6.00 dioptres, lenses tend to be thicker at the edges and heavier, and your eyes can look smaller through them. To avoid this, we choose the right refractive index for your prescription and work with lenses from Indo, Essilor, Kodak and BBGR.

Prescription glasses questions

How long do my glasses take?

If your prescription is covered by our stock of 1.5 or 1.6 single-vision lenses, we fit them in our workshop and they are ready quickly. If the lenses need to be ordered, we'll tell you how long it will take when you place the order.

Do I need an eye test first?

If you don't have a recent prescription, we can do it in the shop: the eye test is free and needs no appointment.

Which is better, 1.5 or 1.6?

It depends on your prescription and your frame. As a rule, 1.5 for low prescriptions and full-rim frames, and 1.6 for medium prescriptions and rimless or semi-rimless frames.
